UAE : Authorities ban family visits for prisoners of conscience

The International Centre for Justice and Human Rights (ICJHR) said that UAE authorities banned on Monday visit to ten prisoners of conscience arbitrarily held in al-Razin prison.

The hunger striker Nasser Bin Ghaith, Salah Dufiri, Hussein Najjar, and Khaled al-Sheiba were among reportedly among the ten prisoners. 

In fact, the prison authorities have consistently abused the detainees’ rights, as well as their families’, by repressing their rights and banning any visits even though some families traveled for long distances under difficult conditions, to be banned from meeting their jailed relatives.
