Activists launch global campaign to boycott UAE
A group of human rights activists announced the launch of the International Campaign to Boycott UAE at a think-tank workshop attended by dozens of rights defenders, campaigners and victims of UAE’s discriminatory laws.
The ICBU is expected to start functioning as early as October 15, reported Gulf Times.
Activists from Brussels, Berlin, London, Rome, Madrid, New York and Paris are set to take part in the campaign.Other groups will also be launched in other countries. They will operate under the General Secretariat of ICBU.
The campaign has been launched in response to the never-ending human rights violations of the United Arab Emirates, a spokesman said.
